I have been using this case for several months and it works and fits as described. However, I now have a tougher and tighter fitting skin that I paid $1 for from Monoprice.
This is the second I have purchased still have original the second was a gift. Have not dropped i-phone since I purchased almost a year ago. Gel is non-slip and dimensions keep plastic overlay on front from bubbling on sides. Have looked at numerous versions highly recommend this one..
